Service Shout Out!
I want to give a HUGE service shout out to the
entire staff at the Courtyard Marriott at the
Legacy Center in Plano, Texas!
How many hotels have you stayed at? I have been
hosted by hundreds in the past 25 years and rarely
does the service at any of them even turn my head
or stand out in any way. If we are to be honest
with each other, one hotel is pretty much like
another. Well, not so at the Marriott Courtyard
in Plano.
Everyone on the staff, from front desk associates,
to facility personnel, to housekeeping, to restaurant
servers - everyone greets every guest with a warm
smile and direct eye contact. Every greeting is
warm, friendly, and makes you feel, well, at home.
That alone sets this hotel apart. But there is
more.
Everyone on the staff is wired to assist guests
with any needs they have. When you ask someone
at this hotel a question, they take full responsibility
not to just answer your question, but to go above
and beyond in responding. Here is an example:
ask a housekeeping worker in the hall where the
ice machine is and they won't tell you. Nope.
They will stop what they are doing and they will
take you to the nearest ice machine. Then they
will ask you if there is anything else you need,
and tell you to have a great day.
Service like this is NEVER an accident. So I
give credit to Lynn Martin, the Manager of this
facility for hiring and developing a staff that
truly cares about their guests.
If your travels ever take you to the Plano Texas
area plan to stay at the Courtyard Legacy Center.
You will NOT be disappointed.
